AEON 4D: games built in the open in our own engine, and the pages of the Engine Masters who make them.
- We do not sell, share or trade anything about you.
- We count visits with Google Analytics, and in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask first. Named in full below.
- Visitors have no accounts and no forms; the Engine Masters who publish here sign in elsewhere, by invitation.
- Our web host adds one tracking script of its own to every page. We did not put it there; it is named below.
What your browser loads from somewhere else
Read off this site’s own files every time this page is built, so it cannot fall behind what the site actually does:
- www.googletagmanager.comGoogle (Google Analytics): loaded by a script. Loaded only as the Google Analytics section below says: after a yes in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and never for a browser that sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
One script we did not put here
Our web host appends its own tracking script to every page it serves,
including this one. It is not in the files we upload and we cannot remove it from
our side. It arrives after the page we wrote ends, and it is two pieces: a small
block recording the server and data-centre this site is served from, and tccl.min.js, fetched from img1.wsimg.com, a host
belonging to GoDaddy, the company we rent the server from.
Their own note, inside the injected script.
So it is by support request to the host, not by a setting we control. We have chosen to declare it rather than hide it: it is on every site we run, it was there before this page existed, and a privacy page that counted only our own files would have been wrong about the only thing it was measuring.
Google Analytics
This site counts visits with Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), in a property of its own, measurement ID G-P4VWZK7LTS. It is loaded on these pages, read off this site’s files when this page was built: /, /games/. Pages not listed load nothing of Google’s.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask first. A small banner asks whether we may count your visit, and Google’s script is not loaded at all until you say yes. We tell where you are from the time zone your device reports, and we err toward asking: every European time zone is asked, and so is a device that reports no time zone or plain UTC. Google’s own regional setting is a second layer: in those countries it keeps Google’s cookie off until a yes, even for a visitor the time zone missed.
Everywhere else, we count from the first page. Google’s script then sets its own cookies (their names begin _ga) and sends Google the pages you open here, the page that sent you, your browser and device type, and a rough location worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address itself. We see the results only as counts and charts, never as a record of any one person.
Never counted: a browser that sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control loads nothing of Google’s here, anywhere in the world. Our own visits from our own machines are filtered out of the counts.
Your choice, at any time. Open this site with the choice showing to say yes or no again. A no stops the counting in this browser and clears Google’s _ga cookies here. Your answer is kept in your browser’s own storage under the name analytics-choice, so we can remember it; it never leaves your device.
Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are switched off for everyone, Google signals is off, and no advertising account is linked. We have also switched off Google’s option to use this data to improve its own products. Google describes its own handling at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also block it with any content blocker, or with Google’s own opt-out add-on, and the site works exactly the same.
What we hold
No accounts for visitors. No forms, no comments and nothing to sign up for. The site and its games are files served to you.
Engine Masters' pages. An Engine Master's page shows what they chose to publish from their own app: a name, a picture, a short bio, links and their games. Each publication is signed with that Engine Master's own key and checked before anything is kept, and a page can be switched off. Engine Masters sign in at admin.aeon4d.com, by invitation; that area has its own notice, at admin.aeon4d.com/privacy.html.
In your browser, not ours. The games keep your saves and settings in your own browser's storage. They stay on your device, we cannot read them, and clearing your browser data removes them.
When you leave
Links out go to other people’s sites, and their policies govern what happens once you are there. We do not tell them you came from here beyond what your browser sends on any link.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we knowingly collect nothing from them.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. The list above is the whole of it. Write to the address below.
If this changes
This page is generated from a measurement of the site, so it changes when the site does. If we ever add something that watches you, it will appear here in the same plain terms as everything else.
