What Waits On The Planet

A round world you can walk across, fly around, and pull back from until it turns below you. Every count here is read from the game itself.

The First Adventure

AEON4D's first game is still here, with a save of its own.

The Endless World in spring: a green alien stands in a meadow beside a cairn of stacked stones, with blossoming trees, grazing deer and a guide in the distance.

The Endless World

Walk Every Season

Walk an alien through every season and landscape, and four worlds no one has seen. Every tree, stone and creature is built from points of light as you walk, and the land never ends.

  • 14 lands and 140 creatures, ten to a land
  • 16 people and 34 missions
  • 3 spells, raised at the Altar with what you find
Walk Now

Its own game and its own save, apart from The Held Seasons.

Meet Cairn

The guide is made of the same points of light as everything else in the world, and it shows you so.

  1. A cairn of stacked grey stones with a gold capstone in a spring meadow, beside the green alien.
    Stones

Every land keeps a cairn where its pad sets you down.

  2. The cairn's stones turned to a column of white points of light rising beside the alien.
    Light

Talk to it, and its stones turn to points of light that rise.

  3. Cairn formed: a tall figure of pale stone plates, raising a hand in greeting to the alien.
    Body

The light gathers into Cairn, who tells you what the land holds, and goes back to its stones as you leave.

Built In The Open

The next big update makes every body in the world real. It ships a phase at a time, each one measured on a phone before it goes live.

  1. The Clear Picture

Sharper on phones, smoother skies, and no flicker far away. Live now, with more to come in this phase.

  2. Real Bodies

Every alien on a true skeleton, with shoulders that attach, elbows, knees and ankles. Live now.

  3. Living Walks

Walking and running timed to measured human movement, feet planted on every slope, people who stroll, and eyes that blink. Live now, with more to come in this phase.

    live
  4. The Grazers

Deer on skeletons of their own that walk, trot and gallop as real deer do, and lift their heads to watch you come. Live now, with more to come in this phase.

  5. Every Creature

Rabbits in the half-bound, birds that hold their heads still and then thrust, bells that pulse, serpents that wave, beetles on tripods, spiders, hovering wasps, banking drones and the tardigrade, each timed to its kind, and every land's creatures on true joints. Live now.

    live
  6. A Living World

Ears, tails and antennae that swing as a body moves, grass that parts under every foot, and herds that answer their own: one deer looks up, the rest follow, and they run as one. Now and then one stays a while, or walks up to you. Live now.

The Dimensions

Each one is a real engine with real work running on it. The fourth is the one being built.

Running On It Now

Nothing here is a mockup. Five games are live and playable in a browser right now, four of them on these engines.
